Misdemeanors
A misdemeanor can be classified as a crime whose punishment is less than a year.  There are two types of misdemeanors. First degree misdemeanor maximum punishment is a year in county jail and a $1000 fine. A second degree misdemeanor is punishable with up to 60 days in county jail and a $500 fine
